India is the second country in the world after the United States to register over 3 crore COVID-19 cases since the onset of the pandemic.
The COVID-19 caseload in India crossed the 3 crore mark on Tuesday. It took the country just 50 days to add the last 1 crore cases, making it the fastest 1 crore addition by any country. The fastest increase of 1 crore cases in the U.S. was in 54 days, when the case count in the country increased from 1 crore, recorded on November 5, to 2 crore, registered on December 29, according to worldometers.info.
India’s COVID-19 caseload stood at 30,027,364, according to TOI’s COVID database. The United States has registered 3.44 crore COVID cases, which is the highest figure in the world thus far… (ET Healthworld – TNN, June 23, 2021)
